Porthole paintings

No longer being used for their original purpose and thrown into a skip, these beautiful sieves were just crying out to be made into frames. This was the starting point for these paintings. Inspired by the remote coastline of Lincolnshire with the intention to describe the vastness of these open spaces and enormous skies. The distant horizon giving the sense of an outgoing or incoming tide viewed from the foreshore.
